Oh dear Goddess help me!

How can you tell if magick brought something to your life? How can you deny the call that comes from inside your heart? Here is how the situation is as objectively as i can describe it. We live in a small apartment with 3 bedrooms but it fits us well. We have a dog and a lazy cat already that like the things exactly how they are. But as i was driving today i saw a black kitten sitting by the road. I stopped the car, walked towards it, Phoebe ran towards it and then i took it in my arms. He is so sweet. He is loving and purrs all the time. He stands on my arms as a pirot for hours. But here are the bad news. Petros does not want another animal but he would be easily persuaded if Tsitsini was n't acting as if someone is electrocuting her. She hates him. She made sounds i have never heard before. She did n't attack him, but she is really depressed. I do not want to make her sad so if she won't get used to him the next couple of days we will have to give him away. And if i can't find him a home we will have to let him where we found him. At a pavement by the road.
My eyes water just thinkin about it. It is a black kitten and i am a witch. It is fate. Right? Things have to work out. They just have to. So i am asking from all of you to send me positive thoughts. I wish there will be serenity in my home with all my pets.
Ps. if you have any tips about how i could make two cats make friends i am all eyes!
Blessings to all.
Georgina

what a problem! the best way to get animals to adjust to each other is to keep them in separate rooms a door apart. do this for about a week. they will start to become friends under the door. they will sniff and make noises but are not a threat to each other. after a week of this they will "know" each other and will be ready to meet face to face. if they have problems separate them again for a while. this usually works because it gives them a chance to get to know each other in a non threatening way. hope it works!!!!!

awww I am so sorry, but everything does happen for a reason. If it truely is meant to be then it will work out. If it does not work out, sometimes things happen to remind us of what we have and to be thankful for it. Hope everything works out. I will send good thoughts your way
Blessed be,
Tavin

Rub Petros in catnip. Otherwise, Tsitsini might be happier in a home where she has complete and total attention. Some cats simply need to be the only cat with only one owner. That might be the case. The kitten will adapt to both of you quite well. I'll certainly send good energy. It could be that Tsitsini will become motherly towards the little one if she doesn't witness you babying it, so leave them together and give neither attention. She may actually become such good friends, she'll ignore the humans in the home.

Aw, sending positive thoughts!

Cats generally are suspicious of new additions to the household. When I first brought my puppy home, my 5 yo cat hissed and growled at it for 2 weeks. You should keep the new cat in a cage and let your old cage slowly come up to him on her own. Or you should keep him in an enclosed area but don't let him have the full run of the house. She has to learn that this new animal is not dangerous and won't threaten her position in the household. She should also see you cuddling and playing with the new cat, which shows her that the new cat should be considered "family" and not an outsider. But you should also not forget to spend time with her b/c she will get jealous. I hope it works out for you. Otherwise you might consider taking it to a no-kill animal shelter (do they have those in athens?) or try to find her another home with one of your friends?

I second the advice above about keeping them seperated at first and letting them get used to each other slowly. When I brought home a kitten my adult cat did the same thing - he didn't attack the kitten, but he made some horrible noises and hissing. I kept the kitten in our bathroom when we went to bed so they wouldn't fight and every morning the adult cat would be laying outside the door sniffing around. When we were awake and home we would leave them together and not give affection to either one unless they were behaved - then they would both get hugs and treats. It took about 2 weeks for them to get used to each other and now they barely pay any attention to us anymore.

Jaz is right on the money with keeping them 1 room apart for a week. We just looked this up the other day, when we almost got a new cat.

The only thing I'd add is that 1/2 way through the week, switch the cats, each to the other room. This gives them the ability to really "get" the other cat's smell and become used to it.

They will get along eventually. My brother's cat doesn't like my dogs, but he get's along with them once he's been with them for a while. That cat was meant for you, no doubt in my mind! Don't worry...

I don't really have any advice to give that hasn't already been given. But I will send positive energies your way and hope for the best. I really want you to keep this little black kitten. :)

just love, it's all we need. Were we not problematic with our parents? Isn't this the same?
